Letsema and other organizations delivering services to orphans and vulnerable children across Lesotho have been sharing their results with the Department of Social Welfare.
The Department of Social Welfare thanked everyone for their support in sharing experiences and progress regarding services provided to OVCs and praised the commendable effort. They urged organizations to continue to work collaboratively with the Department, not only in sharing of reports but also in linking and partnering in various programmes.
Following on from last year’s successful visit, a group of 15 teenage cadets, drawn from all parts of UK, arrived in Lesotho in July 2011 on a life-changing expedition where they spent 14 days working in three projects, funded by Sentebale, in the rural areas of Semonkong, Mokhotlong and Phelisanong. During their stay the cadets undertook a number of challenges including the construction of a wheelchair access ramp at the centre for disabled children.
