Church of the Bible Covenant Lesotho (CBC)

Core Activities:

The financial committee coordinates projects that the local churches in CBC will run on behalf of their clientele. Currently, there is a pig project, the income of which is meant to begin the local projects.

Activities in Lesotho:

• Engage in income generating projects from which the clientele will be helped with their basic needs, such as education support, food, and clothing
• Disperse gifts such as school uniforms, books and the like during school vacations
• Pig rearing to raise funds for helping OVC
• scholarships- 15 pupils are at school now and about 15 pupils are also given cloths when they are available

Future Plans:

Help the churchs clientele to be self-reliant through income generating projects that the church clientele will run themselves.

 Bulding a center where OVCs are together for food, clothes as well as counsrling once a month.

Needs of Organisation:

• Computer equipment for overall project information processing storage and tracking
• Training for the clientele training on vocation skills
• Training for volunteers on project management
• Electriciy, a vehicle (using a hired car at the moment), printer and fax machine

training needs – counseling, leadership skills, computer skills and financial control.
