Boiteko Women’s Association

Core Activities:

• To unite women irrespective of their political, social and religious affiliation to work together for the benefit of all.
• To provide members with training and life skills to enable them to carryout income generation activities and engage in progressive farming to empower women and help them to raise their standard of living.

Activities in Lesotho:

• 10-15 members make garlic, honey and aloe Vaseline
• Use garlic to help support groups to care for the sick with as food and medication
• Pig rearing to raise fundsd in order to help OVC with school fees and basic needs

Future Plans:

Hoping that by 2010, we would have found a developer from our association site near Manthabiseng Convention Centre for all clubs.

Needs of Organisation:

• A developer for the association site near Manthabiseng Convention Centre
• Assistance to build water tanks to gather water for the farming and to improve vegetables gardens as well as tie dye work since we need a lot of water
• Training for members to improve in making honey, garlic and aloe Vaseline
