Activities in Lesotho :
Outreach
TTLs outreach program reaches over one-hundred children every month to record weights, monitor growth, supply food, and provide transportation costs for medical treatment. The program also seeks to train mothers and other caregivers on proper nutrition, basic medical issues, and disease prevention in the home.
PMTCT
The PMTCT (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) program targets HIV-positive expectant mothers to counsel them on the most effective ways to prevent transmission of the disease to their unborn child, including connecting them with sources of Nevirapine or other ARV treatments and providing alternatives to breastfeeding postpartum.
Safe-Home
For children whose needs cannot be met while remaining in their homes, the safe-home provides temporary intensive care. The children are cared for by a staff of bome, or caregivers. Babies in the safe-home receive 24-hour care and are monitored for weight gain, growth, and medical issues.

Future Plans:
- Collaborate with other NGOs to improve and expand the services available in Mokhotlong district.
- Continue the high-level of services currently provided at the safe home and in outreach.
- Revise and expand efforts in the area of PMTCT to reach more pregnant women and to focus more deliberately on material health.
- Provide training to village health workers at 11 clinics and work closely with them to receive referrals and monitor health of clients.
TTL has a comprehensive five year plan that was implemented at the end of August. By executing this strategic plan, Touching Tiny Lives (TTL) seeks to improve the services we currently provide and to expand services within Mokhotlong and Thaba Tseka districts. By improving and expanding our services, TTL will be able to reach more children and families. Specifically, TTL has the goal of growing by 25% over the next five years to serve over 1,600 new children and 250 new mothers during that period.
