Samaritan’s Purse is an International Christian relief and development agency, working in over 100 countries worldwide. Started in 1970, it has now grown to have offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, U.K., U.S.A. with Franklin Graham as its International President. Samaritan’s Purse started work in Ireland in 1998, with what has now become it’s best known project, Operation Christmas Child. Emergency Relief remains at the core of the organisation, having the ability to quickly respond to all the world’s major disasters.
Activities in Lesotho :
Samaritan’s Purse Ireland is working with Mission Aviation Fellowship and Lesotho Flying Doctor Service to provide AIDs education, voluntary testing and home based care for people in mountain areas. Samaritan’s Purse also runs an Operation Christmas programme sending gifts to needy children in Lesotho.
