Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotarys main objective is service in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
Activities in Lesotho :
Rotary projects are based on need and sectors vary, however, clubs generally have a yearly project emphasis covering a specific type of project. Past focus areas have included water and sanitation and health.

- Established a preschool at Ha Ntho in Quthing for 25 OVCs.
- Supporting a primary school at Sefikeng, Berea with pit latrines.
- Supporting a home for OVCs in Maseru in collaboration with a local businessman.
Health:
- A project in preparation for maintenance in collaboration with other Rotary Club.
- Preparation for supply of power generator for St. James Hospital in Mantsonyane
- Annual Christmas party for children at QEII Hospital in Maseru.
- Disemmination of 250 wheelchairs to physically disabled in collaboration of Rotary Club of Maloti.
- ARV adherence project at Tsepang Clinic at Moteband Hospital, Hlotse
Future Plans:
Rotary Maseru's focus for 2008 will be the OVC program in Ha Ramabanta, Maseru District as well as maternal and child health, although they may still support projects in other sectors, as needed.
