Rehabilitate, shelter and care for children orphaned by AIDS and other causes from 0 - 15 years. Provide counselling to traumatised children, reunite children with families where possible with home visits and follow ups. They have a farming project with vegetables.

RACHEL’S CHILDREN HOME IS CARING FOR OVCs BY PROVIDING THE FOLLOWING; FOOD,SHELTER,CLOTHING,EDUCATION,HEALTH AND CAUNSELLING AND ALSO MAKING SURE THAT PROPERTIES AND RIGHTS OF ORPHANED CHILDREN ARE PROTECTED.
Activities in Lesotho :
SHELTER : 43 OVC are staying with us at the orphanage being given basic needs and medical care.
CLOTHING: clothes and food parcels are given to 250 children twice a year.
FOOD: one kitchen is established to feed 107 children by providing one meal a day.
EDUCATION: 2 children at university, 3 children at college, 49 high school are sent to school, and there is a free primary school at the orphanage.
PROPERTY AND RIGHTS:
Legal protection is done through the office of the Master of the High Court,
COUNSELLING:
Voluntary social workers conduct visits through it is not regular.
Future Plans:
  • To have a full time social worker.
  • To start income generating projects.
  • To start a youth centre that will encourage and help children to be involved in professional sports.


NEEDS:
We need funds to start income generating projects, pay salaries of workers, more rooms for the children, food, clothing, transport, desks, chairs and stationery for school.
