Social Welfare: Care for orphans and vulnerable children and psychosocial support to patients within the hospital. Advocacy on behalf of destitute patients and OVC to donors.
HIV and AIDS Clinic: HIV and AIDS (pre and post test counselling), voluntary testing. ART clinic provided continum chronic care for PLW HIV and AIDS patients and TB patients issuing treatment, i.e. ARVs, TB treatment and treatment for other opportunitic infections.
TB Clinic
Food Security: Production of vegetables for HIV and AIDS patients, orphans and vulnerable children.
Counselling: psychosocial counselling to all patients who have social problems, trauma e.g. rape cases.
Treatment, counseling and social support for 2000 HIV/AIDS and TB patients and their familes.
Nutrition support and community agriculture promotion.
Healthcare for all OVC in our health service area. (about 5,000)
Educational support for 250 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC).
Housing construction or renovation for 20 OVC.
Clothing for OVC.
Foster care programme (15 children at present).
Psychosocial support programmes for OVC.
- To involve as many projects as possible in the wellness centre for the well being of our patients especially to improve our food production to harness poverty and food shortages in the hospital.
- To introduce crop sharing programme beginning in May 2009.
- To engage more training and development of staff.
