To use films as an HIV and AIDS intervention tools with the expectation of more people:
- talking openly about HIV and AIDS related issues
- creating acceptance of people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS
- provoking people to demand information about HIV and AIDS
- more people making informed decisions about HIV and AIDS related issues
Activities in Lesotho :
- Play HIV and AIDS films in schools, churches, communities, support groups, and prisons country wide using a mobile video unit
- Have discussions about decision making skills
- Monitoring and Evaluation
- Sensitization of youth in HIV/AIDS issues
Future Plans:
- To sustain the organisation
- To build capacity in facilitators
- Sesotho Media and Development would like to produce documentaries about children expressing their own issues, interests and concerns
