Core Activities:
We are a small non-profit with a big mission. We muster all the energy, love and resources we can to help our brothers and sisters in Africa fight the devastating scourge of HIV/AIDS.
We believe everyone must have the opportunity to live with hope and dignity - and we know that small efforts by those with means can bring almost unimaginable benefits to vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.
positively AFRICA is committed to supporting community groups in Eastern and Southern Africa that are affected by HIV and the AIDS pandemic. In Canadian communities positively AFRICA raises awareness about HIV and AIDS and its impact on all aspects of life in Africa.

Activities in Lesotho :
positively AFRICA provides small grants to organisations and community groups that care for orphans and vulnerable children and work with people living with and affected by HIV. Generally, we become a small piece of the necessary support for communities dealing with HIV and AIDS.
positively AFRICA provides financial and data support to HIV support groups and HIV educators. positively AFRICA also provides support to programs focused on caring for OVC, school-aged children and the very young.

Future Plans:
positively AFRICA is responsive and therefore takes directions from African partners. We encourage independence and direction from those who are on the ground leading the charge.
We plan to extend our support to other organizations as we become aware of where that is most needed. Some research about those needs will be conducted by our director in the latter part of 2009 as she travels through Lesotho
