4. Capacitate implementing partners technically and financially
5. Conduct monitoring and evaluation of implementation and assess impact
6. Reporting and advising to government
7. Research to inform HIV/AIDS related decision-making
Activities in Lesotho :
NAC has 4 thematic areas of intervention in Lesotho:
1. Prevention
2. Treatment, care, and support
3. Impact mitigation (i.e.- impacts of HIV such as increase in OVC)
4. Management and coordination (including M&E and resource mobilization)

NAC's priority area is prevention, which can impact all other program areas by reducing new infections and new HIV/AIDS-related OVC.

NAC ensures quitable allocation of HIV-related resources in Lesotho. All organizations engaged in HIV programming are responsible for reporting to NAC to achieve increased transparency and accountability.

Current research underway at NAC includes modes of HIV transmission and reduction of multiple concurrent partners. Research conclusions will inform which groups within society see the highest numbers of new infection in order to identify target groups for outreach and prevention.

NAC's Resource Centre is a specialised library, with HIV and AIDS materials.

Materials are distributed to CBOs, Organisations, and all libraries countrywide.
Individuals and freelancers can use the materials.
Schools have access to Resource Centre materials.
