The overriding purpose of the league is to work for full emancipation, social integration and inclusion of the blind and partially sighted people of Lesotho.

Provide social welfare for visually impaired persons so as to enable them to participate in all fields and in all levels of the society.

To provide mobility training, rehabilitation centre and rehabilitation of visually impaired persons who may either be junior or adults persons so as to enable them to get gainful employment on productive employment and education.

• Education: 22 visually impaired orphans are trained on daily works at Mohloli oa Bophelo Training Centre.
• 5 visually impaired orphans attend school at St.Bernedette's and MBTC is responsible for their school wear. We take money out of our own pockets to ensure that these children get uniforms and shoes.
• There is one orphan who was helped by MBTC to find accommodation at Ha Mantsebo Orphanage.

• To purchase resources for making candle products, e.g. candle wicks, wax, candle mould, paraffin and cooking oil
• Resources for handiworks, e.g. wool, knitting needles etc.
