  • To support womens struggle for justice and self employment, primarily through local organization of women and youth.
  • To enable development of leadership of women and youth by lifting each other.
  • To support womens struggle for self sufficiency, fulfillment of lifes goals and realize their God-given dignity and grace.
  • Commit women to bible study to grow in the knowledge of God and to encourage one another.
  • To network and liaise with other organizations at local, national regional and international level.
Activities in Lesotho :
  • Income Generating Activity: Aloe Cosmetic production for all the 10 existing branches within the country.
  • YWCA-Lesotho Aloe plantation project (LAPP): Training of members living in the Makhaleng site identified for aloe plantation and from other YWCA branches. Preparation of the plantation site and actual planting of the seedlings.
  • Work with 112 OVC
Future Plans:
  • Organize leadership development training with emphasis on women and youth
  • Adult education to eradicate illiteracy amongst women and youth, home economics, home care for domestic workers, health nutrients
  • Skill-training in food production and environmental related skills
  • Temporary shelter and counseling for abused battered women
Needs of Organisation:
Financial resources for salary of executive director who will facilitate an implementation of all YWCA programmes at all levels.

Leadership and small business entrepreneurship training including marketing skills, financial records, book-keeping.
