Staff:
Nearly all staff in Lesotho are Basotho. This includes parish priests, youth workers, workers in the fields of HIV/AIDS ,and the staff at the primary and secondary schools.
It is hoped to keep this pattern, and to train more Basotho to fill these posts.
Paid Staff:
The LDA as such has no paid staff. The Anglican church in Lesotho trains and employs priests, about 30 - 35. It also employs clerical help in the offices and running the Training Centre.

Core Activities:
The Lesotho Diocesan Association has been in existence for about 50 years.
It was founded by the first Anglican Bishop of Lesotho, The Rt. Revd. John Maund, who became bishop in 1950.

It's purpose is to support the work of the Anglican church, and over the years it has worked to raise money for schools, parishes, clergy housing and above all for clergy stipends, since the people struggle to find money for their own needs and there is no other way of paying the priests.

It raises awareness of the needs of Lesotho among Anglicans in this country, and not only the needs of the church there, but all needs. St. James' hospital Mantsonyane, and various schools have all benefitted from the work of LDA.

The LDA's ambition is to continue with this support as long as it is needed.
Activities in Lesotho :
The organisation does what the Anglican church does:
i.e. provide pastoral and evangelistic support for the people, proclaim the gospel, and also run primary and secondary schools. It encourages the people in the parishes to help where there are neighbours and others in need as a result of HIV/AIDS, and runs clinics as a branch of St. James' hospital Mantsonyane.
Future Plans:
To continue to supply the needs of the Anglican church as they indicate what they are.
Funding:
Most of the Anglican churches funding comes from Anglican dioceses in the UK, Australia and some from the USA. Also, locally from people giving to their churches.
