Core Activities:
LNCW is an umbrella body of women's voluntary groups and associations at grassroots level, seeking to promote community development in both urban and rural areas of Lesotho.

This is done through access to education, support groups, and vocational and skills-trainings to improve livelihoods and eradicate poverty. Specific services include childcare, preschool/day care, services for the disabled, and vocational trainings which take place at LNCWs three permanent skills training centers in Maseru, Morija, and Pitseng.

Skills taught include sewing by hand and with machine, knitting, crocheting, spinning and weaving wool shawls, home economics, tie dye, carpentry, computer literacy, agriculture, cattle and poultry farming, catering, workshops on HIV and AIDS, legal awareness, food security.

Promotion of human rights through advocacy promotion of elmination of all forms of discrimination. Improvement of employment and self-employment through skills training. Building capacity of women in all spheres of life: political, economic, and social aspects ensuring incorporation of gender planning in all policies. Abolishing the minority status of women thorugh advocacy.
Activities in Lesotho :
Care of OVC through skills training promotion and protection of human rights through advocacy on the gender policy as well as international charters on human rights promotion of maternal and child well-being including combating HIV and AIDS.

To ensure incorporation of gender planning in all policies.
Future Plans:
To strengthen and improve existing training programmes. Improve opportunities of women to gain entry into secondary and vocational institutions specifically including OVC.

Alleviate poverty through establishment of income generation.

Reduce negative impact of HIV and AIDS.
