District Location:
Core Activities:
Promote community development initiatives - mainly poverty reduction and maintenance of good health through non formal education strategies. They coordinate activities in the districts, train care supporters and monitor activities in the districts. Provide community based care for OVC. Provides literacy and vocational skills training to herdboys and other OVC.
Activities in Lesotho :
- Literacy Education to herdboys and other OVC.
- Vocational skills and training to herdboys, other OVC and their families.
- Home based care and psycho-social support to infected and affected people.
- Income generating activities training--training of trainers in literacy, business management, governance, empowerment of villagers in development and poverty reduction.
Future Plans:
- To increase the number of trained people and literate people in the country.
- To raise awareness in communities.
- To intensify our capacity building organisationally as well as across the total membership.
- Production of manuals.
- Offer trainings to other organisations in literacy, home-based care, and small business management.
