IMPACT is planning to engage in more activities that will promote prevention, care, support and advocacy for people infected and affected including Orphans and Vulnerable children. This project will employ a range of methodologies and materials designed by the government, lesson learned in interaction within the communities and other innovative ideas learned from International Organisations and tailored to the local context. IMPACT is focusing on the three main strategic areas known as Prevention, Care, Support and Psychosocial Interventions.

By the end of 2009 the impact of HIV and AIDS in the communities within Nazareth, Masite and Ha Mants'ebo area will have been adequately addressed with the emphasis on psychosocial support for caregivers, OVC and the communities living productive and meaningful lives.

  • Career guidance for OVC
  • One on one counseling sessions
  • groups counseling sessions
  • Interpersonal Therapy for groups
  • Established 24 hour call line

  • Adequate qualified staff
  • funds to pay staff and run office from day to day
