Core Activities:
- To assist Lesotho in communities by safe guarding orphans and poor and vulnerable children.
- To provide these children with a home-like environment in an attempt to alleviate social and psychological losses in their short lives.
- To provide these children with skills training which will assist in their development as contributing citizens of Lesotho.
- Psychosocial support: 12 OVC are provided with counselling on a daily basis.
- 5 OVC who are HIV positive are taken for medical checkups and are enrolled for ARV treatment.
Activities in Lesotho :
- We care for OVC:
- Education: 73 School attendees receive three meals every day. We buy school bags, uniforms and stationery for these children.
- These OVC are taken for medical treatment when they are sick. 4 OVC who are HIV positive go to Baylor Clinic every month for treatment.
- Psychosocial support: a part time professional counselor is available to give children counseling.
- Shelter, clothing and food: all these children get these three basic needs.
Future Plans:
- To extend the orphanage in order to accomodate more OVC who are in need.
- To acquire monthly financial support for better salaries for workers and respond to the daily needs of the children fully.
- To improve quality of educaiton in order to increase the number of graduates from the centre.
- Purchase a vehicle
