The Bicycle Film Festival goes around the world, and this year is in 15 cities in 8 countries. Re-Cycle has been selected as the charity for the Festival 2007.

WE NEED (please and thank you):
People to help run the valet bicycle parking:

lock bikes to racks in front of venue (22 of them, 2 each side)
give tickets
take donations in pots for parking
tell folks about Re~Cycle
clipboard to collect e-mails
hand out flyers on Re~Cycle

People to sell raffle tickets for a posh bike

A minimum of 3 people at all times but preferably 4 would be lovely.
Someone to coordinate would be very helpful please

If you can select a time slot as a group of 4 people and cover it, it would involve a lot less co-ordinating for us (which is A Very Good Thing).
You can also come as individual and we will be very happy to have you!

There will be an instruction sheet + support
The Cycle Surgery will be organising + bringing all the equipment + supplying t-shirts to wear

Caveats are:
Not available in Selfridges
No sale stuff (not much of this left anyway- all new season stock now)
Voucher is one use only (but they can get as much as they like)
Personal use only (as long as it's within reason... e.g. can buy 3 shorts, can't buy 6 bikes)
Valid until the end of 2007

Teams should have 3 players (please let us know if you are bringing substitutes as well). Ideally each team should nominate someone to referee a game .~ Please let polo organisers know if your team needs somewhere to stay over night, they are able to help. Also let them know if you would like to play but don't have a team - they are looking to match up people without a team.

Other News from Re-Cycle:
The new warehouse/office is going really well. We had an old National Trust barn in the middle of nowhere, which was very picturesque and a pain for volunteers to get to.
Now we are based in central Colchester and have 4-5 volunteers in every day, which helps greatly with tasks like flattening bikes for easy and compact fit in the containers.

We take volunteers from Headway, a local rehabilitation charity for people who've suffered head injuries, and it is working very well.

Inside Out Trust, a charity training in prisons used to supply us with refurbished bikes, has closed. However, now working directly with the prisons.

We are now sending more than 1 x 40-foot box of bikes per month.
We are looking at ways to expand in the UKand Africa: watch this space / ask if serious about getting involved!
A web site overhaul is coming (expert help needed please).
