Achievements and activities of Phomolong Support Group

CURRENT ACTIVITIES
Brief summary on what phomolong support group has currently been doing,

  • We have chicken raring project which has gone very well that we are now selling the chickens to larger organizations like UN and Knock Solutions in large quantities
  • We have been attending trainings and in 13th May 2011 the chairperson of the support group will be graduating Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI), while the other member is newly attending a similar course provided by the two universities of NUL and Kwazulu Natal.
  • With the help of another member of the support group who was doing her studies in Canada and befriended a Lady from the same country, this Lady donated to 60 elderly persons of Ha-Tsosane with sun stoves and their pots.
  • Apart from the daily help we provide for the orphans and vulnerable children of Ha-tsosane, we also provide help to five families of which two women and three men are blind. We provide them with daily basic needs like to fetch water for them, cooking for them and usually when chickens are being slaughtered we give then ‘cooked insides’.
