UN day celebrated in Lesotho

24 October, Maseru: The United Nations Day, on 24th October, was celebrated at the Lesotho Sun in Maseru.

United Nations LogoUN Day has been celebrated since 1948 and was attended by Cabinet Ministers and the Acting UN Resident Coordinator, amongst others.

The Acting Minister of Finance and Development Planning spoke at the ceremony about how the UN relationship and commitment in Lesotho contributes significantly in attaining the country’s Millennium Development Goals.

About Letsema

HIV and AIDS have had a heavy toll on the children and young people of Lesotho.

Letsema is a Sentebale progamme whose mission is to transform the lives of Lesotho’s orphans and vulnerable children by working as a coordinated network of organisations.

Letsema Members work together to provide a variety of services, ranging from education, residential care,  HIV and AIDS treatment and prevention, and others . We want to give hope to these young people and bring joy back into their lives.
